+ Greek yogurt or Strained yogurt is a traditional food in the Eastern Mediterranean, where it is often used as a part of a healthy diet or used in cooking savory and sweet dishes. It is a type of yogurt 10% fat, which has been strained to remove the whey, giving a consistency between yogurt and cheese, while preserving yogurt’s distinctive sour taste. Due to the straining process to remove excess whey, even non-fat varieties are rich and creamy. It is richer in texture than regular yogurt, but can be low in fat. Also, since straining removes water and dissolves salts and sugars, it has twice the protein of regular yogurt and less sodium, carbohydrates, and sugar. KRI KRI, in 1954, George Tsinavos opened a small pastry shop in Serres, Greece, producing Kri Kri ice creams and other dairy products. Today, armed with 70 years of experience, they continue to produce their products, – yogurt, fresh milk and ice creams, in their modern factory in Serres, adhering to the highest quality standards, which have allowed the company to win the trust of consumers not only in Greece but also in more than 40 countries abroad.
